DATA PROTECTION

The EMDR Academy use Acuity scheduling to record and protect your application forms from this website.  Security and privacy of your information are taken seriously at Acuity, and we’ll never market to your customers or share your information with others. That’s the abridged version; but, you can read more about it in the Acuity privacy policy.

The EMDR Academy via The Stress & Trauma Centre Ltd want you to know that any personal data related to you and your booking and attendance on our training courses is kept electronically and with the utmost care to be GDPR compliant. As a company we are required to keep a log of your attendance on our EMDR trainings as proof of attendance. EMDR Europe sometimes request that we provide them of training numbers , but at no point are names or personal data shared. If at any point you should want your data removed from our training log then you have every right to request this. Please read our Privacy Policy.

PAYMENT

If all 3 Parts are booked together in the same venue consecutively, you can either pay altogether or a 25% non-refundable deposit via our Gocardless system, this must be received with a completed application form to ensure a place, subject to terms and conditions.

There is no charge for card payments in accordance with new laws passed in January 2018.

Cheques are accepted but there is a £10 charge, please add this to your bill if paying by cheque.

On receiving your application we will email you an invoice. We will then contact you within 5 working days for payment of the deposit. Please ensure you provide a telephone number and correct email address. You can pay via our secure Gocardless system or make a direct bank transfer for full payment only. Once this has been confirmed you will be booked on the course and sent joining instructions-if the deposit is not paid within this time we will not be able to hold your place.

Following deposit, your place is only guaranteed up until the date of your final balance (6 weeks before training) and eligibility to attend is confirmed. PLEASE ensure payment is on the due date as we will not always be able to send a reminder, we cannot guarantee your place if the payment is received after the final payment date.

The deposit option only applies to bookings of 3 Parts in the same venue consecutively. If individual parts are booked then full payment must be received on booking to confirm your place.

Full payment must be made when applications are submitted within 6 weeks of the first training day. 

CANCELLATION/CHANGES POLICY

Cancellations must be made in writing, either by post (recorded delivery) or confirmed email. When a cancellation is made more than 6 weeks prior to the training date, the applicant will lose their 25% deposit or 25% of fee already paid. Cancellation between 4 and 6 weeks prior to training date entitles a 50% refund.

No refunds can be made when a cancellation is made less than 4 weeks prior to the date of your first booked training day. You will not be refunded even when your non attendance is due to sickness or bereavement.  Non-attendance without notification forfeits the fee. 

In the unlikely event of the course being cancelled or postponed for reasons outside of our control, The Stress & Trauma Centre Ltd will not be liable for travel and/or accommodation costs incurred. However the full registration fee will be refunded or alternative dates arranged. 

REPLACING DELEGATES

If a delegate is unable to attend and a replacement is nominated there will be a £50 +VAT administration charge, subject to eligibility. Please contact The Stress & Trauma Centre to discuss this at least 14 days before the first training date.

 CHANGE OF VENUE AND/OR DATE: 

Deferring or transferring to any other training within EMDR Academy is only possible with 4 weeks or more notice prior to the first day of the course and is dependent on a place being available.  This incurs a £75 + VAT administration charge.If you had received the discount for booking all 3 parts consecutively in same venue you will be asked to pay the difference (£50) making your total transfer fee £125 plus VAT.

You will be issued one manual per part of training.  Replacement if lost will be charged at £15 + VAT.

Part 1 and 2 replacement certificate pdf. version can be provided for a fee of £10 + VAT.

Part 3 replacement certificate if lost can be provided for a fee of £15 + VAT.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: 

There shall be at least 8 weeks between training parts to allow for practice and supervision, according to regulations set out by the accrediting body, EMDR Europe. You must use EMDR with at least three clients over the 3 Part training and participate in the clinical supervision hours provided on the course to gain your accredited training certificate. You must attend all hours of the training (0900-1730) across each of the 7 days to gain your accredited training certificate. You must work on your own material/memories during each part of the training.

Please do get in touch with us if you are in the 1st or 3rd trimester of pregnancy.  This is because you work on some of your own memories during the course which may increase your emotions and you may find upsetting or cause distress.

Please also inform the trainer prior to the training if you suffer with vertigo, inner ear problems, migraines or epilepsy.

All applicants must be 21 years old and over. The must meet the eligibility requirements laid out on this website.

The Delivery Date of the product is the date of the training course selected.

 

EMDR CHILD TRAINING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

All applicants for Level 1 Child training will be asked to send/email their copy certificates from their EMDR Accredited Part 1 and Part 2 or Level 1 trainings. Please upload them with your application form.  You must have experience and be currently working with children to attend this training.

On receiving your application we will email you an invoice. We will then contact you within 5 working days for payment. Please ensure you provide a telephone number and correct email address. You will be asked to make a direct bank transfer. Once this has been confirmed you will be booked on the course and sent joining instructions.

Full payment confirms place.
