It is forbidden for anybody to record sensitive material from the training, this includes the live clinical videos, practicals or clinical supervision sessions.
If all 3 Parts are booked together in the same venue on consecutive dates , you can either pay altogether or a 25% non-refundable deposit via Gocardless, this must be received with a completed application form to ensure a place, subject to terms and conditions.
On receiving your application we will email you an invoice. We will then contact you within 5 working days for payment of the deposit. Please ensure you provide a telephone number and correct email address. You can pay via our secure Gocardless system for deposit option or make a direct bank transfer for full payment only. Once this has been confirmed you will be booked on the course and sent joining instructions-if the deposit is not paid within this time we will not be able to hold your place.
Following deposit, your place is only guaranteed up until the date of your final balance (6 weeks before training) and eligibility to attend is confirmed. PLEASE ensure payment is on the due date as we will not always be able to send a reminder-the Gocardless will automatically take this from the account you sign it to, we cannot guarantee your place if the payment is received after the final payment date.
The deposit option only applies to bookings of 3 Parts in same venue on consecutive dates. If individual parts are booked then full payment must be received on booking to confirm your place.
Full payment must be made when applications are submitted within 6 weeks of the first training day. This can be made via secure credit card (no charge) debit card transaction (no charge) or bank transfer (no charge), once your eligibility to attend is confirmed.
If the delegates employer is funding the course, and the payment is delayed by 3 months or more the delegate will be charged the course fees.
Cheques are accepted but there is a £10 charge, please add this to your bill if paying by cheque.
Cancellations must be made in writing, either by post (recorded delivery) or confirmed email. When a cancellation is made more than 6 weeks prior to the training date, the applicant will lose their 25% deposit or 25% of fee already paid. Cancellation between 4 and 6 weeks prior to training date entitles a 50% refund.
No refunds can be made when a cancellation is made less than 4 weeks prior to the date of your first booked training day. If you are booked on an all 3 part course, refund is only applicable for cancellation before the Part 1 training, no refund is given for the consecutive Part 2 or 3. You will not be refunded even when your non attendance is due to sickness or bereavement. Non-attendance without notification forfeits the fee.
In the unlikely event of the course being cancelled or postponed for reasons outside of our control, The Stress & Trauma Centre Ltd will not be liable for travel and/or accommodation costs incurred. However the full registration fee will be refunded or alternative dates arranged or we will replace our EMDR trainer with another EMDR trainer from our team.
If a delegate is unable to attend and a replacement is nominated there will be a £50 +VAT administration charge, subject to eligibility. Please contact The Stress & Trauma Centre to discuss this at least 14 days before the first training date.
CHANGE OF VENUE AND/OR DATE:
Deferring or transferring to any other training within EMDR Academy is only possible with 4 weeks or more notice prior to the first day of the course and is dependent on a place being available. This incurs a £75 + VAT administration charge. If you had received the discount for booking all 3 parts consecutively in same venue you will be asked to pay the difference (£50) making your total transfer fee £125 plus VAT.
You will be issued one manual per part of training. Replacement if lost will be charged at £15 + VAT.
On completion of each part of EMDR Basic training you will be sent an online feedback form that we ask you to complete, to help us to continue to improve our trainings. You will then be sent:
Part 1 and 2 replacement certificate pdf. version and Part 3 certificate in the post.
Part 1 and 2 replacement certificate pdf. version can be provided for a fee of £10 + VAT.
Part 3 replacement certificate if lost can be provided for a fee of £15 + VAT.
There shall be at least 8 weeks between training parts to allow for practice and supervision, according to regulations set out by the accrediting body, EMDR Europe. You must use EMDR with at least three clients over the 3 Part training and participate in the clinical supervision hours provided on the course to gain your accredited training certificate. You must attend all hours of the training (0900-1730) across each of the 7 days to gain your accredited training certificate. You must work on your own material/memories during each part of the training.
Please do get in touch with us if you are in the 1st or 3rd trimester of pregnancy. This is because you work on some of your own memories during the course which may increase your emotions and you may find upsetting or cause distress.
Please also inform the trainer prior to the training if you suffer with vertigo, inner ear problems, migraines or epilepsy.
All applicants must be 21 years old and over. The must meet the eligibility requirements laid out on this website.
