Due to high demand we cannot guarantee that a place on a Part 1&2 and 3&4 will be available in your chosen venue/date if you do not book together
You must work with at least 3 clients during the course, we strongly advise you read “What is expected of the Delegate Section” before booking.
You must have at least 8 weeks in between Part 1 and Part 3.

EMDR THERAPY ....
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a powerful and transformational psychotherapy that is recommended by NICE and many other international bodies for the treatment of PTSD. More recently, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has also endorsed it for the treatment of PTSD in both adults and children on the back of huge amounts of scientific evidence proving its efficacy. Alongside PTSD there are many published peer reviewed studies showing its effectiveness with a very large range of mental health conditions including phobias, different anxiety disorders, grief, low self-esteem, complex trauma, chronic pain amongst others.
EMDR is not a technique; it is a psychotherapy that provides trained clinicians a new way of working with their clients. Many professionals significantly change their clinical practice as they gain more experience in this approach. Some go on to choose it as their main therapeutic modality and others effectively use it alongside their other therapy approaches.
Your health:
Please do get in touch with us if you are in the 1st or 3rd trimester of pregnancy. This is because you work on some of your own memories during the course which may increase your emotions and you may find upsetting or cause distress. We sometimes have delegates that are pregnant and attend the course. We advise those that they do so purely at their own risk because they will still have to work on their own material during the course as an essential part of the training. If they still attend we then advise them to work with easier / safer memories.

EMDR EUROPE & UK ACCREDITED TRAINING ...
The EMDR Academy is one of the very few organisations in the UK that have been approved by the European Association to deliver EMDR accredited training. That means that both the content of the course has been approved and also the EMDR trainer has been gone through a extensive training program and deemed competent. There are many companies that offer EMDR training that you will find on Google but if they are not accredited then their quality cannot be assured. More importantly, you can only work towards becoming an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner if you have attended the accredited training.
In accordance with EMDR European Association Criteria there are also criteria laid down as to who can attend accredited training courses due to the powerful nature of this psychotherapy.

COURSE CONTENT
The content of any EMDR Europe & UK Accredited course must be in line with the European Association training criteria. The EMDR Academy brings this content alive through an engaging teaching style, plenty of video material of real clinical cases, live demonstrations and interactive practical exercises. We also provide easy to follow manuals for each part of the training.
The complete training takes place over 4 parts, which can be booked separately (1&2) (3&4) or as a whole package.
The whole 8 day training includes :

PART 2 - Virtual (Separate Day)

PART 4 - Virtual (Separate Day)
- Online Group Clinical Supervision with EMDR Consultant (4hrs)
There is no formal or written assessments required but you are required to attend all parts in full, to use EMDR with at least 3 clients across the 4 parts and bring these cases to the clinical supervision slots.
An important point we want to stress to delegates is that we strongly encourage you to find an EMDR Consultant to supervise you once you have finished the training. If you work with complex cases we would encourage you to find an EMDR Consultant during the training
If you complete the 4 part training, you can begin to work towards accreditation as an EMDR Accredited Practitioner. You can then be listed on the EMDR Association of UK website
This can generate referrals for your services from both the general public, solicitors, insurance and therapy agencies.
Accredited Training
In order to reduce our carbon footprint, all certificates will be issued in a PDF format. There is, however, an option to purchase a hard copy of your final Part 4 certificate if you wish. Due to the courses being accredited with EMDR Europe we are obliged to request feedback in the form of a survey undertaken after your training. This is to ensure that we comply with Emdr Europe standards and that you are always provided with the most up to date and relevant training. Certificates will be issued after your survey has been completed.
Part 4 Hard Copy Certificate - You will receive a PDF version of all certificates, however, there is the option to purchase a custom hard copy final Part 4 Certificate for £12.00 (£10.00+ vat) - Please note as these are professionally printed they may take up to 6 weeks to arrive after your survey.
