Course Content
The content of any EMDR Europe & UK Accredited course must be in line with the European Association training criteria. The EMDR Academy brings this content alive through an engaging teaching style, plenty of video material of real clinical cases, live demonstrations and interactive practical exercises. We also provide easy to follow manuals for each part of the training.
The complete training takes place over 4 parts, which can be booked separately (1&2) (3&4) or as a whole package.
The whole 8 day training includes :
Teaching (24 hours)
Supervised practice (18 hours)
Clinical supervision (10 hours)

PART 1 - (3 Days)

EMDR and the PTSD Evidence Base
AIP – The theoretical model of EMDR
The 8 phase Protocol
Treatment planning
Basic strategies for dealing with blocked processing
EMDR Precautions
Lots of REAL CLINICAL EMDR Videos - a great opportunity to see how EMDR works for our patients
Practical exercises and Role Play
Supervised live experience as both therapist and client - Please discuss with us if you are pregnant or had a recent bereavement.
Clinical Supervision – preparing for clients (2 hours)
PART 2 - Virtual (Separate Day)
Online Group Clinical Supervision with EMDR Consultant (4hrs)
PART 3 - (3 Days)

Differences to other therapeutic models
Working with Phobias / Anxiety Disorders (non-PTSD)

Complex Trauma & Dissociation / Affect Regulation Strategies
